Anne McKay

Anne McKay received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy and her Master of Arts degree in English from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She has been teaching English as a Foreign Language in Greece for thirty years, twenty of which have been at the Technical University of Crete. Her interests and professional activities are in the area of autonomy and language learning, particularly in the field of materials design and Information Technology in language learning.

Anna Vrouvaki

Anna Vrouvaki was born in Germany (Aachen). She lived there (Aachen – Bonn) until she was fourteen years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. She graduated with a first class standing. During her studies, she was awarded a scholarship from the Institute of State Scholarships (I.K.Y.) for three years. She also studied German Language and Literature at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn on scholarship from DAAD. She obtained her Master of Arts from the Hellenic Open University. From 1992 to 2001 she worked as a German teacher at the Goethe-Institut in Chania. During her cooperation with the Goethe-Institut she acted as an examiner for all German certificates. She continues as an examiner for the Goethe Institut in Athens. She has taught German as a Foreign Language from 1994 – 2004 at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete / Branch of Chania (T.E.I.). There she was also in charge of the Leonardo Da Vinci programme for many years. Since November 2001, she has been teaching German at the Technical University of Crete. Her professional interests include Autonomous Learning, teaching technical language and terminology, Blended Learning, developing teaching material.

Sophia Kremmyda

Sophia Kremmyda studied English language and philology at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized in adult education with post-graduate studies at the Hellenic Open University. She has been teaching English in secondary schools since 1995. For a number of years she has been an English literacy instructor at the Second Chance School of Chania, as well as in other adult education structures. Her professional activity concerns the production of original educational material for special purposes and the teaching of foreign languages in an online environment.

Emmanuela Seiradaki

Emmanuela Seiradaki studied in Great Britain where she received a degree in English, a master's degree in teaching & learning English by electronic means and a master's degree in translation. She received her PhD from the University of Crete. She has many years of experience in teaching English for Special / Academic Purposes at the Technical University of Crete as well as in other higher education institutions. Her research work has been published in international scientific journals and conferences and focuses on language teaching in online environments, learning difficulties in language learning, English for Special / Academic Purposes and academic writing.

Christina Voukouvalidi

Christina Voukouvalidi was born and raised in Elefsina, a city near Athens. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Greek Philology from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2013, she has been teaching Modern and Ancient Greek to secondary education students. To further enhance her expertise, She has actively participated in educational seminars covering various topics, including "Online Education," "Special Education and Learning Difficulties," "Counseling for Students with ADHD," and "Teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign Language."

 Currently, she is pursuing a Master's degree at the University of Aegean, specializing in "Analysis and Teaching of the First and Second/Foreign Language”.

She is dedicated to providing high-quality education in teaching Greek as a second/foreign language and fostering a deep understanding of the Greek language. She strives to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to embrace the richness of Greek culture.

Wenjia Zhang

Wenjia Zhang was born in Heilongjiang Province, China. She got her master degree from Foreign Language Department in Hainan Normal University. She was a faculty member and the vice director of Public Course Department in Hainan Health Management College. She began her academic career as a lecturer.  Her research interests involved in language teaching strategies and informatization teaching methods.

Triantafyllia Lytra

Triantafyllia Lytra provides administrative support for the Language Centre. She studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens from which she also received a master's degree in Conservation and Restoration of Historic Buildings and Sites.
