 ς \n \n Περίληψη\n Στα πλαίσια της δ
 ιπλωματικής εργασίας, το αντικείμενο
  μελέτης είναι το λιμάνι του Ηρακλεί
 ου. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, μελετάται η δι
 επαφή πόλης – λιμανιού και οι αστικέ
 ς αλληλεπιδράσεις μεταξύ των  δύο ον
 τοτήτων. Πρωτίστως,  γίνεται μια ευρ
 ύτερη ανάλυση  της περιοχής με σκοπό
  την κατανόηση του αστικού χώρου και
  των σχέσεων μεταξύ του ιστορικού κέ
 ντρου και του  λιμένα.  Ακολουθεί η 
 αστική ανάπλαση,  η οποία εστιάζει σ
 την  διεπαφή με το αστικό κομμάτι το
 υ λιμένα καθώς αποτελεί την φυσική π
 ροέκταση του ιστορικού κέντρου προς 
 την θάλασσα. Σκοπός της ανάπλασης απ
 οτελεί η αναβίωση του παραλιακού μετ
 ώπου μέσω της σύνθεσης αστικού χώρου
  και χρήσεων που αποσκοπούν  στον επ
 αναπροσδιορισμό των σχέσεων μεταξύ π
 όλης και λιμένα. Στο σημείο αυτό, δι
 ερευνώνται ζητήματα κλίμακας, πρασίν
 ου και ένταξης, σε ένα μέρος όπου ασ
 τικό και λιμενικό τοπίο βρίσκονται σ
 ε αντιπαράθεση. Εν συνεχεία, ακολουθ
 εί η αρχιτεκτονική μελέτη μιας σχολή
 ς τεχνών με εκθεσιακό χώρο, η οποία 
 λειτουργεί ως κτήριο ελκυστής για τη
 ν περιοχή μελέτης και συμβάλλει τόσο
  στην ενίσχυση του πολιτισμικού   χα
 ρακτήρα του νέου λιμανιού όσο και στ
 ην  αναβίωση του παράκτιου μετώπου τ
 ης πόλης.\n Abstract \n In the conte
 xt of the thesis, the subject of stu
 dy is the port of Heraklion. More sp
 ecifically, the city-port interface 
 and the urban interactions between t
 he two entities are studied. First o
 f all, a broader analysis of the are
 a is made in order to understand the
  urban space and the relations betwe
 en the historical center and the por
 t. This is followed by urban regener
 ation, which focuses on the interfac
 e with the urban part of the port as
  it is the natural extension of the 
 historic center towards the sea. The
  purpose of the redevelopment is the
  revival of the waterfront through t
 he composition of urban space and us
 es that aim to redefine the relation
 ship between the city and the port. 
 At this point, questions of scale, g
 reenery and integration are explored
 , in a place where urban and port la
 ndscape are in conflict. Then follow
 s the architectural study of an art 
 school with an exhibition space, whi
 ch functions as an attractive buildi
 ng for the study area and contribute
 s both to the strengthening of the c
 ultural character of the new port an
 d to the revival of the coastal fron
 t of the city.\n
