 ούνται στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος
 Erasmus+, Διεθνής Κινητικότητα ΚΑ171
και έχουν τίτλους:\n \n Prof. Zaid
 Albataineh\n “Yarmouk University in
Jordan - Lecture on Massive MIMO Sys
tems”\n  \n Associate Prof. Faris Ma
 talkah\n “Geopolymers: Green Concret

 ures”\n  \n \n Περίληψη ομιλίας Prof
 . Zaid Albataineh:\n “Yarmouk Univer
sity in Jordan”\n This talk will pro
vide an overview of Yarmouk Universi
ty, one of Jordan's premier institut
ions of higher education. We will ex
 plore its history, academic programs
 , research initiatives, and contribu
tions to the educational landscape o
f Jordan and the wider region.\n “Le
cture on Massive MIMO Systems”\n Thi
s lecture will delve into the fundam
entals and advancements of Massive M
 ultiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO)
systems. We will discuss their impo
 rtance in modern wireless communicat
ions, particularly in the context of
5G and beyond. Key topics will incl
 ude channel estima-tion techniques a
 nd hybrid beamforming.\n  \n Περίληψ
η ομιλίας Associate Prof. Faris Mata
 lkah:\n “Geopolymers: Green Concrete
  for Future Sustainable Infrastructu
 res”\n Considering the increasing us
e of construction materials in the p
ast century, the necessity of using
more sustainable, lower cost, and hi
 gh-performance binders has been incr
easing, to meet the mechanical and d
 urability properties of con-structio
n materials as well as the environme
 ntal requirements of the construc-ti
 on industry. Geopolymers are propose
 d as innovative, eco-friendly constr
 uction materials. Geopolymer was fir
st described in the 1970s as inorgan
 ic aluminosili-cate polymers that fo
rm solid ceramic-like materials at n
 ear ambient tempera-tures.The raw ma
 terials for the aluminosilicate can
 be a by-product such as nat-uralvolc
 anictuff/clayorindustrialby-products
 uchasslagandcoalflyash.Geopolymeric-
 based binder offers distinct advanta
 ges over ordinary Port-land cement-b
ased binders in terms of performance
, environmental impact, and energy s
 aving.\n  \n Βιογραφικό Prof. Zaid A
 lbataineh:\n Dr. Zaid M. Albataineh,
born in 1983 in Irbid, Jordan, is a
 n accom-plished associate professor
 of electrical engineering at Yarmouk
Univer-sity. He earned his Ph.D. in
  electrical and computer engineering
from Michigan State University in 2
 014. Currently, he leads the electro
 nic en-gineering department at Yarmo
 uk University. Dr. Albataineh's expe
rtise spans a wide range of topics,
 including wireless communication and
RF integrated circuits. A senior IE
EE member, he has also been actively
  in-volved in reviewing for internat
 ional conferences and journals, and
was the technical program chair for
the IEEE MWSCAS 2021. His commit-men
t extends to serving professional so
cieties and committees at Yar-mouk U
niversity, and contributing to the e
 valuation of research pro-posals and
  manuscripts at various levels.\n  \
n Βιογραφικό Associate Prof. Faris M
atalkah:\n Faris Matalkah is an Asso
 ciate Professor of Civil Engineering
  at Yarmouk University (Jordan). Dr.
Matalkah received his Ph.D. in Civi
l Engineering from Michigan State Un
iversity (United States), and MSc, a
nd BSc in Civil Engineering from Jor
dan University of Science and Techno
logy (Jordan). He is the founder of
 the first American Concrete Institut
e (ACI) Student Chapter in Jordan at
Yarmouk Uni-versity in 2019. Dr. Ma
 talkah’s research interests include
 the devel-opment of sustainable, ene
 rgy-efficient, and low-cost cementit
ious materials. He has published mor
 e than 50 peer-reviewed articles in
high-ranked journals in the field of
  cement and concrete, geopoly-mers,
 and ultra-high-performance concrete.
Additionally, he serves as an assoc
iate editor in the journal of Emerge
 nt Materials.\n
