 ινώντας από την τελετουργία ως έννοι
 α απόλυτα συνυφασμένη με την θρησκεί
 α,  η παρούσα ερευνητική επιχειρεί τ
 ην σύνδεσή της με την αρχιτεκτονική 
 μέσω των «ενδιάμεσων χώρων». Μία από
  τις κρίσιμες έννοιες που αναδύονται
  από τη μελέτη των τελετουργιών είνα
 ι η ιδέα του κατωφλιού ή της «οριακό
 τητας», η οποία σηματοδοτεί μεταβατι
 κούς χώρους ή καταστάσεις που διευκο
 λύνουν τη μετάβαση από μια φάση ανθρ
 ώπινης εμπειρίας στην επόμενη. Κατόπ
 ιν, η έρευνα ανατρέχει στην εμφάνιση
  και εξέλιξη της έννοιας του Ενδιάμε
 σου ή κατωφλιού στον αρχιτεκτονικό λ
 όγο μέσα από τις σχετικές θεωρήσεις 
 των Le Corbusier, Walter Benjamin, T
 eam 10. Στη συνέχεια, εμβαθύνει στη 
 σχέση τελετουργίας, κατωφλιού και αρ
 χιτεκτονικής μέσω αναφοράς στο θεωρη
 τικό έργο του Aldo van Eyck για τους
  Κύκλους του Όττερλο και τα Δίδυμα φ
 αινόμενα. Ερευνώντας τις επιρροές το
 υ αρχιτέκτονα και αναλύοντας δύο από
  τις εκκλησίες που σχεδίασε, Wheels 
 of Heaven και Paastor van Ars, αναδε
 ικνύεται πώς οι σχεδιασμοί του ενσωμ
 ατώνουν τις αρχές της οριακότητας κα
 ι της τελετουργίας, δημιουργώντας χώ
 ρους λειτουργικούς και συνάμα βαθιά 
 συμβολικούς. Στόχος της μελέτης είνα
 ι να υπογραμμίσει τη συμβολή των ενδ
 ιάμεσων χώρων στην ανθρώπινη συνάντη
 ση και αλληλεπίδραση και να ανοίξει 
 νέους ορίζοντες στο σχεδιασμό χώρων 
 με διευρυμένες ποιότητες.\n \n Abstr

 ligion, this research aims to connec
 t it with architecture through the n
 otion of 'in-between spaces.' One of
  the critical concepts emerging from
  the study of rituals is the idea of
  the threshold or 'liminality,' whic
 h signifies transitional spaces or s
 tates facilitating the passage from 
 one phase of human experience to the
  next. Subsequently, the research ex
 amines the emergence and evolution o
 f the notion of the 'in-between' or 
 the threshold in architectural disco
 urse, drawing on the perspectives of
  Le Corbusier, Walter Benjamin, and 
 Team 10. It then delves into the rel
 ationship between ritual, the thresh
 old, and architecture through refere
 nce to Aldo van Eyck's theoretical w
 ork on the Otterlo Circles and the T
 win Phenomena. By exploring the arch
 itect's influences and analyzing two
  of the churches he designed, Wheels
  of Heaven and Paastor van Ars, it b
 ecomes apparent how his designs inco
 rporate the principles of liminality
  and ritual, creating spaces that ar
 e both functional and profoundly sym
 bolic. The study aims to highlight t
 he contribution of in-between spaces
  to human encounters and interaction
 s, while opening new horizons in the
  design of spaces with enriched qual
