A research study conducted at the Physical Chemistry & Chemical Processes Laboratory of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, under the direction of Professor Ioannis Yentekakis, in collaboration with the Ceramics and Composites Laboratory of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Ioannina, under the direction of Professor Michail Karakassidis, was awarded the Best Poster Presentation Award (Best Award) at the 14th International Conference on Material Science and Engineering Technology (ICMSET 2025), held on 21–24 November 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
The awarded poster, entitled “CO₂ methanation over Ni nanoparticles dispersed on CeO₂ supports: the effect of support synthesis method and the resulting nano-configurations”, was carried out within the framework of the research project “Innovative design of stable, efficient, and in-situ regenerable nanocatalysts for CO₂ recycling through CO₂ methanation and dry (CO₂) reforming of methane – StableCO₂Nanocat”, coordinated and scientifically supervised by Professor Ioannis Yentekakis. The project is funded by the H.F.R.I. (ELIDEK) under the Action “Basic Research Financing -Horizontal support for all Sciences (Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation, H.F.R.I) - National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Greece 2.0), funded by the European Union– NextGenerationEU (Project No.: ELIDEK 16916).
The presentation of the work at the conference was delivered by Professor Michail Karakassidis.
