The European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO), in which the Technical University of Crete (TUC) participates as a founding member, is pleased to announce the first edition of the EURECA-PRO Teaching Excellence Awards.
The call is now open for nominations for the EURECA-PRO Teaching Excellence Awards, celebrating outstanding educators within the EURECA-PRO alliance, recognizing higher education academic staff, whose innovative teaching programs have an exceptional impact on student learning and experience in general.
These awards aim to:
- Recognize and reward educators who excel in innovative teaching that enhances student learning.
- Stimulate and share best practices that strengthen the appreciation of teaching within EURECA–PRO.
- Highlight the integration of research, innovation, and education across our European University Alliance.
Award Categories:
- Rising Star Award – Early-career educators or PhD/postdoc teachers
- Glocal Teaching Excellence Award – Educators integrating global and local perspectives
- Innovative Teaching Practice Award – Creative and tech-enhanced approaches
Key Dates:
- Nomination Deadline: 30 November 2025, midnight (CET)
- Candidate Notification: mid January 2026
- Registration Closing: 19 January 2026
- Award Ceremony: 3 February 2026 @ Hasselt University
The awards and the ceremony will be part of the upcoming EURECA-PRO Education and Research Days, themed "Glocalising Universities: A Shifting Horizon".
