The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor Nikos Giatrakos has received a Distinguished PC Award for his service as a Program Committee member of the 42nd IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE) 2026.
The distinction was awarded in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the work of the Program Committee, particularly the quality and thoroughness of his reviews and his highly constructive participation in the discussion and evaluation process.
Program Committee service is a critical component of the scientific quality and reputation of leading international conferences, and this recognition highlights the significant contribution of Prof. Giatrakos to the successful preparation of the ICDE 2026 technical program.
The award will be presented during the Awards Session of the conference on May 6, 2026, at 13:30, in Place du Canada, Montreal, Canada.
ICDE is one of the most prestigious international conferences in the area of data engineering, bringing together members of the academic, research, and industrial communities to discuss advances in data management, large-scale analytics, and related emerging technologies.
