Professor Vassilis Kouikoglou of the School of Production Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Crete is among 41 scholars and researchers worldwide who will receive the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (ΝΑΑΙ) Distinguished Artificial Intelligence Scholar Award. 

Professor Kouikoglou is a NAAI member. He was selected for the award "in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contributions to intelligent systems, computational intelligence, and complex systems analysis, and for advancing research in modeling and optimization of intelligent and adaptive systems".
