Alexandros Sergakis, a PhD Candidate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, has been selected as a principal fellow of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY)-Fulbright Greece Partnership Award for Greek Research Students for the academic year 2026-2027.
The scholarship supports Doctoral Research in the United States of America and is one of the five awards granted to PhD candidates across Greece.
As part of the scholarship, Alexandros Sergakis will undertake a six-month research visit at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, conducting research related to his doctoral work in the field of fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance of electromechanical systems for renewable energy generation.
This distinction highlights the quality of the research activity carried out at the Technical University of Crete and further strengthens the institution’s international academic presence.
