The Rector of the Technical University of Crete, Professor Michalis Zervakis, accompanied by the Rector-Elect, Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Ouggrinis, visited the Regional Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis, on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Maria Kasotaki, Head of the Managing Authority of the “Crete” Operational Programme, discussions focused on the ongoing activities of the Technical University of Crete, the long-standing cooperation that has been established, as well as the continuation of the Region of Crete’s support for projects and initiatives of the University through the utilisation of available funding resources.
Both the Rector, Professor Michalis Zervakis, and the Rector-Elect of the Technical University of Crete, Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Ouggrinis, expressed their appreciation to the Regional Governor for the substantial cooperation developed over the previous years, which has contributed to the implementation of important projects and initiatives for the University.
For his part, the Regional Governor of Crete warmly thanked Rector Zervakis for the successful and close collaboration between the Region of Crete and the island’s higher education institution in Chania, while also wishing the Rector-Elect every success in his new duties.
