With the participation of the Technical University of Crete, the 14th EETN Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2026) will take place from September 9 to 11, 2026, at the Chania Cultural Center.
SETN 2026 is dedicated to the loving memory of Pavlos Peppas and Themis Panagiotopoulos.
The conference is an important forum for the presentation of new research and technological developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence. It is organized by the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, in collaboration with the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society and the Region of Crete, and brings together scientists, researchers, and academics from Greece and abroad.
The conference will be addressed by Androniki Tzomaka, Advisor to the Special Secretariat for Long-Term Planning of the Presidency of the Government of Greece; Katerina Pastra, President of the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society; Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Ouggrinis, Rector-elect of the Technical University of Crete; and Professor Georgios Chalkiadakis of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The EETN Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN), also known as the Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence, was established in 1996 as the conference of the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN). Since 2002, it has been held biennially at different locations across Greece. The conference is international, and its official language is English. It is one of the most important forums in Greece for Greek and international scientists to present original, high-quality basic/theoretical and applied research across all aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The conference aims to:
- bring together Artificial Intelligence researchers;
- promote the dissemination of knowledge and foster collaborations;
- inform students about current developments in AI;
- promote research results to companies; and
- facilitate the development of innovative products.
