TUC.io Drifters Team of the Technical University of Crete Reaches the Final of the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge

The TUC.io Drifters team from the SenseLab Research Group of the Technical University of Crete achieved a significant distinction by securing a place in the grand final of the international Bosch Future Mobility Challenge, held from May 15 to 21, 2026, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The team stood out among 163 highly skilled teams from around the world, ranking among the top eight competitors and becoming one of only two teams to advance to the final during their very first participation in the competition.

The Bosch Future Mobility Challenge (BFMC) is an internationally recognized competition focused on the development of autonomous driving systems for navigating simulated urban mobility environments. The competition’s value lies in its requirement for a holistic approach to challenges involving computer vision, sensor data fusion, and artificial intelligence, providing participants with the opportunity to design and implement innovative architectures and algorithms.
