1.Acquisition of Material 

The Library collection is enhanced by new material added at the request of the teaching staff. The funding of new acquisitions depends on the annual budget of the library. Teaching staff may order any type of material, print or digital. The Library staff may also order material relevant to the library services and collection development.

As soon as the requested material has been received and the technical processing has been completed, it is placed on the new arrivals shelf, separate from the Main Collection. Requestors are notified of its delivery. The new material remains on that shelf for about one week, and then is incorporated into the Main Collection.

2.Donations 

The Library welcomes donation of material at its discretion. Its collection is also enriched with books, conference proceedings, diploma theses and doctoral dissertations produced by members of Technical University of Crete.
