Το φοιτητικό παράρτημα της Διεθνούς Κοινότητας  Μηχανικών Πετρελαίου στο Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης  TUC SPE Student Chapter έχει την χαρά και την τιμή να διοργανώνει, την Πέμπτη 10 Δεκεμβρίου 2020 και ώρα 18.00, webinar με θέμα: "Exploring for Oil and Gas in Greece: from myth to reality" με ομιλητή τον κ. Ιωάννη Γρηγορίου πρώην CEO της εταιρείας Ελληνικά Πετρέλαια Α.Ε., με εμπειρία 40 ετών στην Πετρελαϊκή Βιομηχανία. 

Το webinar θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην αγγλική γλώσσα και είναι ανοικτό στο κοινό.

ΣΥΝΤΟΜΟ ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ομιλητή:
Yannis Grigoriou is a Mining Engineer (NTUA, 1978) and Geophysicist (MSc Applied Geophysics, University of Leeds, UK, 1979) with 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 1982 at DEP S.A (State E&P Company) as geophysicist and gradually was developing as explorationist in upstream business undertaking also various managerial positions. Since 1998 he joined Hellenic Petroleum Group and as Dep. Manager of Group’s Business Planning participated in numerous M&A  corporate projects both in upstream and downstream sector (amongst them Group IPOs, DEPA’s acquisition, merge with Paneuropean Holdings, BP retail network acquisition in Cyprus, OKTA refinery acquisition etc). In 2005, he was chosen as the Business Development Manager in the field of Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production at HELPE Group of Companies, accomplishing international expansion of the Group in countries such as Libya, Egypt, Albania and Montenegro. During 1997 – 2003 he served as advisor to EU Commission in matters of Energy Policy and the evaluation of research proposals. Yannis was also appointed member of BoD in Group’s retail companies (Cyprus, Albania and Montenegro). From 2015 to 2019, he’s been the CEO of HELPE Group’s subsidiary companies in the Upstream field (HELPE Patraikos SA and HELPE UPSTREAM SA). Yannis retired earlier this year. Currently he is elected Vice President of the Executive Committee of the CEEC Scout Group (Central East Europe and Caspian) from 86 oil companies acting in the area.
