Abstract

Financial Statements are an output of an accounting cycle. Financial Statement Analysis reveals a company’s financial health by using financial ratios and is a valuable tool in the decision-making process. During the lecture we will address basic concepts – balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash-flows, and the main categories of financial ratios: solvency ratios, liquidity ratios, profitability ratios, efficiency ratios, or market prospects. We will also seek answers to these questions: What does financial ratios analysis tell us? What do users of these need to know?
