The European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) is being held annually and awards the best services, products, and business ideas that use satellite positioning systems based on Galileo in everyday life. ESNC aims to support ideas at each stage of development with a highly diversified prize pool worth over EUR 1 Million offered by the 140 involved ESNC stakeholders in more than 20 categories of challenges.

SenseLab Research Group of the Technical University of Crete is a leading research entity in space informatics, and serves as the Regional Organizer of the ESNC (Greece Challenge). Besides SenseLab and TUC , the regional Partners for Greece Challenge include the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin), PRAXI Network and the Hellenic Association of Mobile Applications Companies (HAMAC).

In addition, the ESNC is complemented by the E-GNSS Accelerator to empower the transformation of great ideas into commercially viable solutions through a tailored on top business coaching service. The prize pool is co-financed by the European Commission’s DG Grow.
