Interruption of Electronic Services at the Technical University of Crete

Since the early morning hours of Tuesday May 4, 2021, the computer systems of the Technical University of Crete are facing an extended technical problem due to a cyberattack. A large number of electronic services are affected, especially services that require user authentication (i.e. logging in with a username and password). The problem at the moment affects institutional e-mail services (no email can be received or sent by tuc.gr email addresses) and all electronic services of the Technical University of Crete (forum, eclass, moodle, zoom, student directory, Eudoxos, Academic Identity, APELLA, TUC Wifi, VPN, etc.) that require user authentication, which remain inaccessible. Efforts are under way to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Latest update (May 13, 2021): most electronic services have been restored since Sunday May 9, 2021, except the institutional email service, which is expected to be operational by 12:00 noon on Friday May 14, 2021.

Latest update (May 14, 2021): all electronic services have been restored and are currently fully operational. A short down-time may be experienced in the early morning hours on Sunday May 16, 2021 due to required system maintenance operations.
