    Η Αικατερίνη Καραδήμα υποψήφια διδάκτωρ στην Σχολή Αρχιτεκτόνων μηχανικών του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης με θέμα της διατριβής "Ο χωρικός αντικατοπτρισμός της Συνθήκης της Λωζάννης στην περιοχή των Χανίων και η συμβολή των "ανταλλαξίμων" στην  αρχιτεκτονική και πολεοδομική εξέλιξή της" .και  επιβλέπουσα την αναπληρώτρια καθηγήτρια Αμαλία Κωτσάκη επελέγη να παρουσιάσει μέρος της υπό εκπόνηση διατριβής στο Thirteenth Graduate Student Conference In Modern Greek Studies που οργανώνει το Priceton University. Πρόκειται περί σημαντικής  διάκρισης καθότι επελέγησαν μόνο πέντε ανάμεσα σε δεκάδες υποψηφιότητες από όλο τον κόσμο.
