Eleneio Doctoral Thesis Award in Statistics
The Greek Statistical Institute wishes to invite recent Ph.D. recipients of Greek origin to submit their doctoral thesis, for the:
Eleneio Doctoral Thesis Award in Statistics
for the period 2007-2008 (01/01/2007 – 31/12/2008). The award is for Ph.D degrees awarded during the above period in Greece or abroad in the area of Statistics. The award is dedicated to the memory of the little Eleni and it has been proposed by her parents, Tryfon and Polyxeni Daras who are the sponsors of the award.
The award consists of an honorarium to give a lecture at the Greek Statistical Meeting in Chania, Crete in April 2009, an honorary diploma and a two-year membership of the Institute.
Application and two copies of the candidate thesis should be submitted along with a supporting letter from the major professor (advisor), until January 31, 2009, to the Greek Statistical Institute, 5 Solomou Str, GR-10683 Athens, e-mail: esi-stat
