Abstract
We first propose a framework that bridges the definitions of discrete-time and continuous-time quantum walks on the line, which we call here time-parametrized quantum walk. In this context, we investigate the consequences of decreasing the time step in different scenarios, among others the usual unitary evolution, but also a stochastic one with the introduction of decoherence. We introduce another generalization by defining quantum walks on Fock-state lattices (FSLs). Using the setup and the properties discussed for time-parameterized quantum walk on the line, we investigate the dynamics of quantum walks on FSLs, again via unitary and stochastic evolution.
